The agency VIDALENC ARCHITECTES was appointed in 2005 to restructure a 2200m² block, built in the 1850s and at the end of the 19th century and entirely dedicated to office activities.

The existing office block, decrepit and fallen into disrepair after the construction of the near metro station of the EOLE line, needed several arrangements in order to be able to house both office activities and accommodation: rehabilitation of its facade, structural reinforcement, creation of new concrete floors and technical equipment.

The total surface area of 2200 m² was divided as follows: one third was allocated to office spaces or commercial activities in the lower floors, and the two remaining thirds were dedicated to accommodation and the creation of 17 fully-equipped and air-conditioned flats that offer the acoustic and thermic insulation quality of the whole building.
