"This building will be super eco-friendly" - Le Parisien, 21st of December of 2009

The construction of this multi-purpose building, with a total surface area of 1500m² (including 300m² dedicated to professional activities), was carried out between 2010 and 2011 in Paris’ 15th arrondissement. It was designed by the agency VIDALENC ARCHITECTES as a “life manufacture”, perpetuating the spirit of the place, characterised by the numerous industrial buildings that marked the history of this district.

The project used natural or recycled materials, such as the FOAMGLAS outside insulation of the building: made from used windscreens, it is placed between the structural facade of the building and its brick facing, and it is perfectly in accordance with the standards set by the HABITAT & ENVIRONNEMENT qualification. It has also received the BBC EFFINERGIE label of CERQUAL.

The office spaces are crossing and largely open on the two open spaces build on open ground at the end of the plot. They include a geothermic floor that can both heat and cool thanks to 4 drillings – each of which being 150 metres deep – that were installed before the construction of the building.

These drillings, with a total amount of 600 linear metres, allowed the installation of 2400 metres of dry sensors that collects heat from the depths without pumping any water.
